The Napa County Family & Foster Parent Association is a membership group made up of foster parents, relative care givers and concerned Napa Citizens.

As a group, we work to enhance the lives of kids living in out-of-home care.

Specifically, we meet monthly on the 3rd Thursday at 8.55am for a breakfast meeting at Napa's Downtown Joe's Restaurant [on the corner of 2nd & Main Street]. Breakfast is paid for by the Association for all members, dignitaries, speakers and social workers. Other guests pay $10.00 each.

In addition to monthly breakfast meetings, the Association is a part of the California State Foster Parent Association and collectively there are benefits for each local member through this State Affiliation. Each dues paying local member receives a State Affiliate Card and the toll-free numbers to call for help in the areas of legal assistance, insurance for homeowners coverage, support and collaboration.

Membership in the Napa Chapter is $40.00 a year and this membership covers the cost of breakfast, State Chapter Affiliation plus trips & outings the Association offers.

Some regular events offered in the membership include: Annual Christmas Party; Annual Birthday Celebration in the spring; Annual Swim Party and BBQ in August and Annual 4 day tent camping trip in July at Olema Ranch Campground [attended by about 100 each year] - all of this is fully paid for by the fund-raising of the Association. Each year these events are based on the availability of monies to pay for them. As donations become more scarce, events are down-sized so the Association always lives within its means.

The Association accepts donations and co-hosts an annual event called the Chocolate & Wine in October. Other funds are donated to the Association throughout the year. The Association is a non-profit and has no employees so it is fully relying on the charity and goodness of its members to perform all tasks and duties.
